FRAMINGHAM, MA – The Barbieri Elementary School in Framingham, MA, is pleased to present its second annual Latin Jazz Night on Saturday, June 11, 2005 beginning at 7:00 PM. The high powered Latin Jazz ensemble features world class artists Eguie Castrillo on percussion and Victor Mendoza on vibraphone, who, along with alto saxophonist Willie Sordillo, also happen to be the parents of children in the Barbieri School’s two-way bilingual program. FRAMINGHAM, MA – The 21 member Framingham High School Drumline will perform at Boston’s FleetCenter before the Celtics/76ers game on Sunday, April 3rd. Game time is 1 p.m.
George Perrone, Band Director and Director of Fine Arts, responded to an invitation from the Celtics, and arranged to have the Drumline play at this home game.
Family and guests of the drummers were issued complimentary tickets to be on hand for the performance and game, which will be broadcast by ABC TV and WWZN 1510 AM The Zone radio.

FRAMINGHAM, MA – Each year, the Salute to Framingham Committee honors three individuals who, over the years, have done much for Framingham’s youngsters.
The selection of three honorees from the hundreds of very active individuals from all walks of life is a most difficult task.
This years recipients are Patrick Dunne, Bob Jachowicz, Joan Rastini.
Each of these individuals has made a significant difference in the lives of the youth of our town thru their volunteer efforts. The event will take place March 16 at the Sheraton Tara.
FRAMINGHAM, MA – First Annual Alumni Dance Night sponsored by Framingham High School Parent/Teacher/Booster Org. All proceeds benefit Framingham High School- May 22, 2004, 7-11p.m. at Nevins Hall – live music and dancing. Food and refreshments will be available.

Acceptance and public service are recurring themes in Framingham history, from the persecuted refugees of Salem End, to the recent influx of immigrants from South America, a better life is the objective of most who settle in Framingham.
Framingham in 1996 is a multi-cultural community, and in an effort to expose “us” and especially our children to the diversity around town, a week of Prejudice Awareness celebrating Our Human Mosaic, Unity and Diversity, and a Salute to Youth once again shows Framingham’s commitment to acceptance and public service.
