  • Pilot Study Group Forum Thursday Night

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – Social Service Pilot and Comparative Impact Study Group Public Forum will be held on Thursday February 2, 2006, 7:00PM in the Public Hearing Room, Memorial Building, 150 Concord Street.

    Forum 1: Public Input

    Topic:The Impact of Social Service Programs in Framingham

    Process/Format: Those wishing to speak will sign their name on a sign in sheet at the front table visibly labeled “Sign in Here if You Wish To Speak“.

    Speakers will be asked to come up and speak to the committee by the Chair. The Chair will work within his power to ensure that as broad a range of viewpoints are heard throughout the night.

    Direct questions will be allowed from committee members to the speakers following initial comments, at the discretion of the Chair. Committee members wishing to ask a question of a speaker will do so only after being recognized by the Chair. Questions to the speakers must be relevant to the topic of the evening.

    Each speaker will have a maximum of 3 minutes for their initial comments. Additional time may be granted by the Chair to allow for response to questions/comments by the committee.

    Relevance of Comments: individuals making comments not pertinent to the topic “The Impact of Social Service programs in Framingham” will not be allowed to continue, but will be given an opportunity to get back “on track“.

  • McAuliffe Library Question and Answer Session Canceled

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – The Board of Library Trustees question and answer session on the new branch library project that was scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 08, 2005 (today) in the Public Hearing Room of the Memorial Building has been canceled due to bad weather.

    The Trustees apologize for any inconvenience caused by this cancellation and all Town Meeting members will be contacted if the session is rescheduled before the March 15 Special Town Meeting.

  • Framingham Government serves up Streaming Video Broadcasts

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – Beginning January 8, 2004, the Town of Framingham has announced that streaming video broadcasts of the Selectmen’s Meetings, as well as the Town of Framingham Public Access Channel, is now viewable on the World Wide Web 24 hours a day.

    The broadcasts will be available via the Internet on the Town of Framingham website.

    The Selectmen’s meetings will be archived and will remain available for viewing until the minutes of that meeting are approved and posted. After that time, meeting videos will continue to be available for purchase through Media Services.

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – If you are wondering “What will Framingham be like in the next century?”, you’ll be glad to know a concerned group made up of town officials, business, education, and community leaders is already hard at work on a plan to insure that Framingham will be an even better place to live, work, and enjoy life beyond the year 2000.

    Framingham Town Manager, Russel Marcoux, chaired a meeting of the FOCUS 2000 group in the Ablondi Room of the Memorial Building, calling upon representatives from groups focusing on issues ranging from “Town Image”, to Economic (more…)
