  • FRAMINGHAM IRISH BAND TOUR BENEFITS CHILDREN

FRAMINGHAM, MA — A popular Framingham, Massachusetts band, the Belfast Cowboys, started their Annual St. Patrick’s Day Tour at the Snug Irish Pub in Hingham, MA last weekend.

The band’s primary purpose is to benefit Project Children, an organization that brings Catholic and Protestant children from Northern Ireland for a month long summer reprieve to the United States. The timing pulls the children away the violence and tension that periodically erupts during the summer in Northern Ireland. The net proceeds from CD sales and performances are donated to Project Children.

The Massachusetts Coordinator for Project Children is the founder of the Belfast Cowboys, Jerry Robinson. If you would be interested in hosting an Irish child this summer or would like more information please contact Jerry at (508) 877-9624.

The Belfast Cowboys schedule which includes performances at Marian High School, Elk’s Club, Carmel Terrace, Nobscot’ Pub and the Snug Irish Pub etc. can be found on their website www.belfast-cowboys.com.
