FRAMINGHAM, MA — A new free outdoor program, the Community Corner, will offer field games, books, reading corner, arts and crafts, music and more for families on five different days during the summer in a variety of public parks.
Beginning on July 8 and ending August 26, this two-hour, drop-in program is organized by the Framingham Parks and Recreation Department, in collaboration with the Framingham Police Department, Framingham Fire Department, the Library Bookmobile, and the MetroWest YMCA.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — The Framingham State University baseball team tallied seven run in the third and seven more in the fourth as they defeated Emerson College 21-2 in seven innings of non-conference action at Bowditch Field.
Chris Iannetta went 5-for-5 for the Rams with a double, five runs scored and three RBI. Iannetta led off the game for the Rams with a solo home run in the bottom of the first.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — The Framingham State University softball team received a pair of victories from Ally Moran as the Rams swept a Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) doubleheader with Fitchburg State at Maple Street Field in Framingham. The Rams took the opener 8-1 before coming from behind for a 3-2 victory in game two.
In the opener, Moran went six innings allowing one unearned run on one hit with six strikeouts. Emily Strzegowski tossed an inning of scoreless relief to close the game for the Rams.
The Rams extended the lead to 6-0 with five in the bottom of the third. Mercedes Jimenez plated a run with a sacrifice fly and a second run scored on the play on an error. Zoe Smyth followed with a two-run single to right and Morgan Poli added an RBI single.

The two teams current MASCAC records stand at: Framingham State (8-16, 4-6), Salem State (12-13, 4-6).
(more…)FRAMINGHAM, MA — The Framingham State University Women’s Lacrosse Team saw seven players tally goals as the Rams cruised to a 20-7 victory over Bridgewater State University Bears this afternoon in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action at FSU’s Maple Street Field.
The Rams raced out to a 3-0 lead midway through the first. Tara Palermo converted a free position opportunity and Rachel Erickson and Madison Skiff added goals.
Bridgewater State got on the board on an unassisted goal by #12 with just over five to play in the first, but the Rams closed the first with back-to-back goals and led 5-1 after one.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Trulieve Cannabis Corp. opens retail, recreational, adult-use cannabis dispensary at 85 Worcester Rd., (Route 9, just west of Shopper’s World).
This is Trulieve’s third and largest retail location in Massachusetts. The other two MA dispensaries are located in Northampton and Worcester.
