    Construction crews have placed these signs in several locations on and around ''A'' Steet and Concord St. near the Framingham High School where a major sewer project frequently brings traffic to a standstill.

    FRAMINGHAM, MA– Roadwork on several major capital improvement projects in town will continue this week, (Monday through Friday, July 11 through July 15, 2011).

    Major delays due to backed up traffic and detours around some of the work sites can add to driving times, so motorists should plan accordingly.

    The Town of Framingham’s Department of Public Works / Highway Division / Capital Projects website offers residents and visitors to Framingham helpful information about current and upcoming construction projects.

    You can view up to date traffic alerts, maps of project worksites and traffic detours, and sign up to receive email alerts for all or any of the currently listed projects.

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – Dennis Paulsen, (Town Meeting Member for Precinct 9, and Vice Chair of the Standing Committee on Public Works), recently spoke with key Town of Framingham personnel and the construction supervisor responsible for the East Framingham Sewer Construction project regarding the work being done near the interestion of Rt. 30 (Cochituate Road), and Rt. 126, (Concord Street).

    Paulsen was informed that this week, (July 5th – July 8th, 2011), crews will be cutting diagonally across Concord Streetfrom Landseer Ave. to the Framingham Cooperative Bank, and that the work will be done during weekday working hours and that during the construction, Rt. 126 will be restricted to (1) lane (more…)

    The Infractions Funky Music Fills the Common

    FRAMINGHAM, MAThe Infractions packed the house in a July 1st, 2011 performance at the Framingham “Concerts on the Green”.

    Due to rain last week, this was the first night a band played this year in the free summer concert series that’s been running on the Framingham Centre Common every year since 1996.

    The classic cars that made Riley's in Nobscot a favorite Saturday night cruise destination has re-opened as CJ's Northside Grill.

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – For nearly a decade, every Saturday night when the weather was nice, antique autos, high performance hot-rods and vintage vehicles cruised to Framingham to meet with other car enthusiasts at a restaurant in the Nobscot section of town.

    The restaurant, formerly operated by Joe Breed as “Riley’s Roast Beef” is now CJ’s Northside Grille — brought back to life by Framingham natives Chris Gagen and Jamie Anderson.

    Chris and Jamie are both Framingham North High class of 1989 graduates and both worked at Riley’s when Joe owned the place

    Framingham's own David Hornfischer added to the Bosox Club Board of Directors.

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – David Hornfischer of Framingham, MA was recently named a director of the BoSox Club, the Red Sox leading fan club.

    Hornfischer who recently retired as Senior Vice President/ Treasurer of Boston’s Berklee College of Music, is also a board member of the Amazing Things Arts Center in Framingham where his roles are as diverse as organization Treasurer and host of the monthly Amazing Open Comedy Mique Show.

    Founded in 1967, The BoSox Club is a non-profit Booster Club that supports the Boston Red Sox. In addition to providing activities such as luncheons and BBQ events with direct access to players and Red Sox personnel, and access to spring training events/tickets, the Club takes an active role in supporting such charities as The Red Sox Foundation, The Jimmy Fund and The Foundation to be Named Later.

    One of the most popular BoSox events is their Annual Family Day, where members are treated to a player-run baseball seminar and tickets to a summer game.

    FRAMINGHAM, MA – The Framingham State University football program is sponsoring a youth football camp July 25-28, 2011 from 4:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m. at the university’s Maple Street field.

    The “no-contact” camp is open to players age 8 through 15.

    Space is limited to the first 100 players to register, (to maintain a 10:1 player coach ratio).

    Participants must submit medical release form with registration and $120 (non-refundable) fee.
