    Beware: Unlicensed Driveway Paving Contractor Operating in Framingham

    Asphalt heaves and cracks in winter from poor drainage due to poor planning, a bad mix or poor workmanship.

    FRAMINGHAM, MA — The Framingham Department of Public Works (DPW) and Police Department have been notified about several occurrences with a un-licensed company offering “discount” driveway paving work.

    The company offers paving services at a discounted rate, claiming the job can be completed that day with hot top mix leftover from another job. Residents who have hired this them say the company offers no contact information or written contract and requests payment in cash or check upon completion of work.

    MutualOne Bank’s Charitable Foundation Grants $10,000 to Framingham History Center

    FRAMINGHAM, MA — Steven M. Sousa, executive vice president and chief operating officer of MutualOne Bank and a MutualOne Charitable Foundation trustee has announced a $10,000 grant to maintain the Framingham History Center’s relationship with the Framingham Public Schools.

    According to Executive Director Annie Murphy, the Framingham History Center has high hopes that field trips and school visits will resume as normal in the new school year. “It is such an uncertain time, and we are working to cover all eventualities,” said Murphy.

    MutualOne Bank Grants $10,000 to Framimgham Housing Authority’s Summer Camp Program

    FRAMINGHAM, MA — Mark R. Haranas, president and CEO of MutualOne Bank and Chairman of the MutualOne Charitable Foundation has announced a $10,000 grant to support the summer camp program at Musterfield Place, a residential development managed by the Framingham Housing Authority (FHA).

    According to Paul Landers, FHA director, the program serves approximately 40 children a day over a 9-week summer schedule, with staff sourced from residents and past attendees of Musterfield Place at Framingham Housing Authority.

    FRAMINGHAM, MA — The East Middlesex Mosquito Control Project is planning to use a truck-mounted aerosol sprayer to apply “reduced-risk pesticide” to decrease mosquito populations in Framingham Tuesday, June 29, 2021. All spraying will be done between dusk and 11:30 p.m.

    The spraying is scheduled for neighborhoods of Framingham that are located in the vicinity of Woodland Dr., Spruce St., Anderson Rd., Lowther Rd., Debra Ln., Morse Rd., Lockland Ave. and Prospect St.

    The beaches are located at Learned Pond on Shawmut Terrace, Saxonville Beach on Lake Road, and Lake Waushakum on Nipmuc Terrace.
