Metrowest Veterans Council at McAulliffe Library
Friday is right around the corner and it will be the second meeting for the Metrowest Veterans Council, consisting of any and all veterans who are interested in participating with us. Do not be shy, we need you. Please attend, you can make a difference and help our brothers at the same time.This meeting is very important to attend, why, the city is going to take a Mellon Fund left to the Veterans about 32 years ago, amounting to $4007, that was designated to the PTSD program here in town. There were prior meetings whereas Mr.Giombetti sanctioned that move to give it to the PTSD program , just before leaving the town Board of Selectmen.I have all the communication regarding this fiasco. Unfortunately Mr. Halpin and Mr. Harvell set there sights on the money, You might want to spend a little time with us on Friday and learn how little some people in the city look at us veterans. Jeff Cox who was President of the Veterans Council before being called up to Germany was instrumental in getting access to these funds.It remained in limbo, and I and others thought at that time it would no be prudent to sue the town.
