Fall Open House (at Danforth Art)
Sunday, September 7th, 2014 *** Free Admission 12-5 pm, Activities for all ages 2-4 pm *** Danforth Art opens its Fall Exhibitions on Sunday, September 7 with a Fall Open House. Visitors will enjoy free admission from 12 noon until 5 pm, an opportunity to view three exhibitions on view: The Expressive Voice: Brought to Light, featuring selections from our Permanent Collection representing generations of the School of Boston Expressionism and exciting, new acquisitions; Sarah Pollman: Aura/Ground; and Brian Kaplan: Not Your Vacation. Activities from 2 to 4 pm include: Express Talks, 20-minute discussions about specific works on view; clothed figure drawing, oil pastel painting, and faculty demonstrations in our studio art school; and, a collaborative mural and family activity in the museum galleries.
