What’s Love Got To Do With It?

2:30pm – 4:00pm, Framingham Public Library (www.framinghamlibrary.org)Mothers & More MetroWest is pleased to host a discussion with our very own member Dr. Kumkum Pareek Malik on the transformative power of motherhood. Dr. Malik believes that most of a mother’s anxiety, worry, depression and fatigue are a result of the non-stop work of motherhood: work that is invisible. We mother in a culture that is broken around love and connection, and we lack a language to respect and honor a mother’s work of love. Every mother is doing her best, but notices only what she is not doing. We don’t talk enough about the complexity of love, and how to navigate this emotion. Sponsored by the MetroWest Boston chapter of Mothers & More. With over 200 members from Framingham, Natick and surrounding areas, Mothers & More provides information, support, and fun for both working and stay-at-home moms, with children of all ages. Non-mobile infants welcome.
