Jonathan Singleton Quintet (at Danforth Museum)

Jonathan Singleton Quintet performs Jazz Gospel Sunday, June 12, 2011 at 4:00PM. Known for conducting many Boston-area choruses such as ”Sharing A New Song” and the ”Mystic Chorale”, Jonathan Singleton steps down from the podium to present along with his band and singers his unique blend of jazz, pop, blues and gospel. Since arriving in Boston to study jazz at the Berklee College of Music, Jonathan has been active not only as a choral director but as a piano/keyboard player, accompanying such artists as Phil Perry, Lance Martin, the Temptation’s Ollie Woodson and EMI recording artist Andre Ward.He is one quarter of the roots-gospel band MATW, which features guitarist Eric Kilburn and singers Fred Griffeth and Louise Grasmere.
