Amelia Earhart (1897-1937)
(This is a re-scheduled event). At 7:00PM Jessa Piaia will focus her performance on Amelia’s solo flight across the Pacific Ocean made on January 11, 1935. Amelia Earhart was a pioneer in the world of aviation, the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic, the author of two books, and first president of The Ninety-Nines. Her plane was lost at sea during a nearly successful attempt to fly around the world in 1937. This event is a ticketed event, limited to 100 people. Tickets will be given out beginning at 6:15pm prior to the event, on a first come, first served basis, and you must be present to receive a ticket. Refreshments.
